Philippe Chow, the renowned Beijing style restaurant, expands its brand with the debut of a second location in New York City within the Meatpacking District. Philippe Downtown is a subterranean dining space, offering Chef Chow’s modern take on traditional Chinese cuisine for lunch and late into the night. It is located at 355 West 16th St, in the Dream Hotel.
Philippe Chow has gained notoriety from well-known influencers and celebrity guests including Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Adam Sandler, Jay-Z and more. In collaboration with Merchants Hospitality and partners Philippe Chow, Edis Julevic and Kostas Paterakis, Philippe Downtown will continue to bring the brand’s renowned service and unprecedented dining experience to new guests and regulars alike. Co-Founder Chef Chow, along with Julevic and Paterakis have been with Philippe Chow since it all started in 2005, overseeing the culinary team and operations, and creating a welcoming atmosphere. At Philippe Downtown, they will continue to bring consistency and Philippe Chow’s timeless experience to the neighborhood.
Philippe Downtown will feature the brand’s signature family-style menu that emphasizes traditional Beijing cuisine with an elevated twist. The restaurant will offer lunch and dinner daily and tailor to a late-night crowd. with the kitchen open until 1:00am on weekends. Revelers will be able to enjoy their favorite dishes after dark, including Chicken Satay, Salt and Pepper Lobster and the legendary Peking Duck. An ideal spot to continue any party, Philippe Downtown will have rotating DJs that will add to the neighborhood’s effervescent nightlife.
