“Philippe Named Top Chinese Restaurant in NYC” is the headline of a press release the celebuheavy restaurant just slipped under our e-mail doorstep, responding to news that the 2010 Zagat survey of New York City restaurants has awarded the place a food rating of 24. (We await one from Del Frisco’s celebrating its 25 rating for “Hottest Servers.”) Congratulations, Mr. Chow! In the interest of fairness, however, let’s note that Chinatown’s New Yeah Shanghai, Sunset Park’s Pacificana and the estimable Tse Yang on East 51st Street all got 24s as well. And, to be sure, there are better places to eat Chinese in this town even than those. I won’t put a thumb on the scale just now. But what about you? What’s your Top Chinese Restaurant in NYC?
